Empresarios Agrupados has been involved in the field of spent fuel and radwaste management since the Spanish NPPs were designed in the 1970s (namely, onsite spent fuel and radwaste management) and in the field of decommissioning ever since the first of such activities in Spain in the 1990s. We provide the following services:
- Program Management, including defining the overall strategy, the contract approach, making the project schedule, cost estimation, defining the work packages, preparing tender documentation for engineering activities and the procurement of equipment, works and services, procurement management, delivery supervision and control, contract management, and onsite supervision of works.
- Preparation of decommissioning plans
- Preparation of licensing documentation and support to the Owner in the licensing process
- Development of the conceptual/basic/detail engineering and design for:
- Modifications to the installation to support decommissioning activities
- Decontamination, dismantling, and demolition activities
- Installations / facilities for radwaste and/or spent fuel handling and treatment
- Low and intermediate level radwaste near surface repository
- Spent fuel at reactor site / centralized temporary storage or deep geological disposal
- Decommissioning management and supervision services on site
