Power-To-X
Over the last two decades, Empresarios Agrupados has shown its excellence in engineering by participating in a number of R&D&I programmes both at home and abroad. This experience has been applied to the development of Power-to-X production projects (hydrogen, ammonia, e-methanol, etc.) derived from renewable sources, amounting to a total capacity of over 2 GW.
These initiatives are essential in the fight to decarbonize the economy, since they can be considered part of the solution to achieving climate neutrality by 2050 and to developing new, innovative chains of value to industry as well as a green economy with high added value.
In this context, Empresarios Agrupados has recently been developing engineering associated with renewable H2, ammonia, and methanol production plants, accompanying our clients with customized advice from the technical and economic point of view, at the hands of a specific section of multidisciplinary engineers with expertise in H2 technologies.

CO2 Capture
Carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology is a set of technological processes that seek to reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere by capturing it and storing it safely for future use. CCS technology is essential to achieving global reduction in CO2 as long as fossil fuels are used to meet energy demand. In addition to the electric power sector, CCS is a strategic technology for decarbonzing energy-intensive industries. Lastly, CCS technology can also be used in hydrocarbon recovery processes and other future uses currently under development.

Biogas
During the last 20 years, Empresarios Agrupados has been characterized for being a technological leader not only in all the fields that make up the Natural Gas value chain in gaseous state (Distribution and Power Generation in Combined Cycles), but also for participating in Liquefied Natural Gas projects. That is why we develop engineering and technological innovation capabilities in all types of natural gas infrastructures extending this value chain (Storage, Liquefaction and Regasification).

Power Storage
Because production and demand of electric power varies greatly, technologies are needed that can ensure a steady yet flexible supply.
This is why Empresarios Agrupados takes part in Power Storage Projects with technologies that provide greater backup to the system, thereby ensuring that production can cover the demand for energy, i.e., to ensure the supply.

Reduction of Emissions
One of the main fronts and climate debates worrying society today is the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere to prevent the progressive warming of the Earth. In its commitment to the planet Empresarios Agrupados rises to the challenge of keeping the industry competitive while also protecting the environment by developing:

Natural Gas & LNG Facilities
Empresarios Agrupados has become regarded as a leading technological company not only in all the fields making up the value chain of natural gas in its gaseous form, such as in the distribution and production of energy in combined cycle plants, but also in participating in Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) projects. This is why Empresarios Agrupados is honing its engineering and technological innovation capacities for all types of natural gas infrastructures, increasing its value chain (storage, liquefaction, and regasification).
At present, Empresarios Agrupados participates in the basic engineering for small- and medium-scale LNG storage projects, which has given our invaluable knowledge of the equipment comprising these facilities, such as: cryogenic storage tanks, cryogenic pumps, cryogenic valves and piping, etc.
The end use of the LNG in this type of projects has varied considerably, from refueling for heavy vehicles, refueling boats with LNG (bunkering), and supplying natural gas to adjacent industries.

Sea Energies
Sea power is energy obtained from the movement of the tides or ocean currents. The energy produced by tides as they ebb and flow is used by turbines to move the mechanical works of the alternator, thereby producing electric power.
Similarly, ocean currents can be used to generate electricity by means of marine turbine generators, with the great advantage of being a renewable energy that is also constant throughout the year, and thus able to operate as a base mode.
