Our large multidisciplinary team of in-house experts allows Empresarios Agrupados to offer our customers engineering, consultancy and auditing services throughout the life cycle of offshore wind farms, from the initial development phases to construction, commissioning and operation, including all the electrical infrastructure for transmission (offshore substations), hybrid solutions and energy storage systems.

In the development phase, we accompany our customers from the initial conceptual design stage up until the entire construction license application phase is completed, carrying out all site characterisation studies (bathymetry, geotechnics, geophysics and meteorological studies), feasibility studies, grid access and connection studies, wind resource and bankable production studies, the construction license application and permitting processing, basic engineering, tender engineering (FEED) and the preliminary electrical studies for grid connection.

During construction, we support their procurement tendering processes, preparing tender documents and technical specifications for the EPC, BOS, BOP and main equipment. This includes carrying out the technical evaluation of bids and providing technical consulting on contract negotiation and the monitoring of supplies and factory testing. We also define the detail engineering, designing and calculating the wind turbine substructures (fixed and floating and the final electrical studies for grid connection. On behalf owners, we act as Owner’s Engineer, perform construction supervision and offer integral project management through EPCM services.

For offshore wind farm commissioning and operation, EAI prepares all “as-built” documentation, reviews action protocols, supervises the commissioning tests and participates the farm’s acceptance tests, prepares the O&M manuals and provides the technical support necessary to legalise the project and connect it to the grid.
