    • EA participated in several projects in Spain:
      • Engineering, design, licensing and construction management of a dry storage facility in dual-purpose metal casks at Trillo NPP
      • Support to the Owner of José Cabrera NPP in the preparation of licensing documentation and engineering review of the main contractor for an ISFSI featuring steel-lined concrete casks
      • Project management and engineering for dry storage in concrete containers at Ascó 1&2 NPP
      • Site selection, engineering, design, licensing of a dry storage facility in dual-purpose metal containers at Almaraz 1&2 NPP
      • Radiological calculations, human factors engineering and site supervision of a dry storage facility in dual-purpose metal containers at Cofrentes NPP
    • The project scopes included (completely or partially) the following activities:
      • General coordination and management of the whole project for the implementation of the facility on behalf of the Client
      • Site screening and selection for ISFSI facilities. The spatial plant and impact assessment covered the determination, study and comparison of the most optimal locations, including definition of requirements and criteria and discipline studies: geological, geodetic, geomorphological, hydrogeological, hydrochemical, climatic, infrastructure, safety, radiation, environmental, etc.

      • Design and construction of the ISFSI facilities and access road.
      • Basic and detail engineering and design of the mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control and civil installations of the facilities
      • Design of the modifications to the Fuel Building
      • Supervision and assessment of the cask preparing tools and operating procedures

      • Licensing documentation and safety analysis of the installations. Preparation of the Safety Analysis Report
      • Radiological shielding calculations with all radiological impact assessment including shielding and dose calculations to the operator and the public.
