- Scope of services:
- Empresarios Agrupados Internacional SA (EA) performed six EBRD Chernobyl Shelter Implementation Plan (SIP) management audits, whose results and recommendations were presented in June 2002, July 2005, May 2007, June 2008, April 2012 and July 2014 respectively. Their purpose was to give an overview of the strengths and weaknesses of the project at specific milestones related to the startup of relevant activities or in special circumstances which recommended an appraisal of the overall project management situation.
- In addition, between 2015 and 2019 EA led Project U4.01/11AB of the European Instrument for International Nuclear Safety Cooperation, consisting of two subprojects:
- Development of Technological Building Basic Design for processing of solid RAW at the Vektor Industrial Complex site includes the development of Basic Design documentation for a Technological Building for processing of solid RAW, including identification of necessary technologies and equipment for sorting, fragmenting, compacting, incineration, cementation, and packaging of solid RAW at the Vektor Industrial Complex site. Also, the development of Design Terms of Reference, Basic Design documentation (including Safety Analysis Report, Environmental Impact Assessment, Health Legislation Compliance Report) and Technical Specifications for purchase of standard equipment and equipment to be manufactured for the Technological Building for processing, conditioning and packaging of solid RAW have been performed within the Basic Design scope of work and outputs.
- Development of Safety Analysis Reports (SARs) for three types (storage in a building, buried storage and near-surface cells) of disposal facilities for low and intermediate level short-lived radwaste at Vektor site: SAR for ENSDF, safety re-assessment report for Type I and Type II facilities and preparation of a report on waste acceptance criteria. Licensee support to Client/End User for SAR review by the radiation and nuclear safety authority of Ukraine.
